It's nice to see the Rooney family still in a "win now" mentality as they are still making early roster moves to improve on this young season. Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers finalized a trade to receive tight end Nick Vannett from the Seattle Seahawks.
Steelers tight end Vance McDonald was spotted Tuesday with his shoulder in a sling; now Pittsburgh is trading for soon-to-be former Seahawks’ TE Nick Vannett.

In other news Tuesday, the Steelers also signed tight end Alizé Mack, and defensive back, Alexander Myres to the practice squad. Linebacker Robert Spillane and cornerback Trevon Mathis were released. Mack (Notre Dame) was a seventh-round draft pick by the New Orleans Saints who failed to make the 53-man roster, while Myres (Houston) is a former Steeler undrafted free agent who is now back with the team.
More details ahead.
