The Cleveland Browns again were forced to close their facility today. This time because of multiple positive coronavirus tests. The positives were very significant for a franchise preparing for their first playoff game in 18 years.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski headlines the list of positives today, along with starting guard, Joel Bitonio. Tight ends coach, Drew Petzing and defensive backs coach Jeff Howard were also positive among the coaching staff. Reserve wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge also will miss the game Sunday.
This comes as huge news and a huge blow to Cleveland. Stefanski is not only the head coach, but also calls all of the offensive plays. Those duties will likely go to offensive coordinator, Alex Van Pelt. Pitt fans remember him as the school's all-time passing leader.
Special teams coach Mike Preifer will be the acting head coach for the time being.
More to come.
