The Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 11-0 on Wednesday night after they held off a comeback from the Trace McSorley led Ravens. The win eliminated the Ravens from AFC North contention.
But the locker room was tense following the win.
Bud Dupree who was having his best season as a pro was lost for the season late in the victory. That certainly put a damper on the win.
All-Pro guard David Decastro touched on that on Saturday morning when he spoke to the media. Decastro said the loss of Dupree was the 'most deflating' thing about the Steelers win.
He went on to say that it was hard to get up for this game with no fans in the stands, and the constant changing of the schedule.
"We're still humans. We have emotions and not having fans there, it's tough."
David DeCastro just spent 10 minutes on a zoom call and just seemed like a guy who had no joy in this season. Pointed to Covid, no fans, injury, Bud getting hurt as downers even if they are 11-0. Dave is usually up beat. It was sad

It's easy to forget that just because the NFL has went on that it's easy for the players. They're making sacrifices every day and sometimes we minimize that due to their salaries.
"The record this year feels weird, in a COVID year. I know we're 11-0, but this day and age, you don't look too far ahead or behind," said Decastro. "Maybe they shut the season off tomorrow."
Let's hope they don't have to shut the season off at any time.
