Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Devin Bush is poised for a big season, but what exactly has helped him get to this point with the team thus far? It's likely former Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has a lot to do with Bush's success so far. Once training camp begins on July 25th, Bush could showcase his abilities even further and prove why the team traded up to draft him.
In regards to Bush's relationship with Shazier, it's no secret the two are becoming increasingly close. Bush recently appeared on WSVN and spoke about how Shazier is still helping the team, even if he has to do it on the sidelines for now.
“We stay in communication on a daily basis. That’s like my big brother, honestly. He’s just showing me the ropes, the ins and outs of the NFL and how to be a man.” - Devin Bush on Ryan Shazier's personal impact.
Pittsburgh Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert is impressed with Bush as well and recently voiced how glad he was that the organization moved up to draft him. Bush could be everything the Steelers have been missing losing Shazier out on the field, but it could take time. Luckily for Bush, time looks like it is on his side as he is young, motivated and ready to learn all he can from Shazier.
How do you think Bush will do this year? Rookie of the Year? Pro Bowl? Let us know in the comment section below!
