Happy Birthday, Rod Woodson: Watch His Greatest Plays

author image

Thursday, Rod Woodson turned 57 years old. We here at SteelerNation.com want to wish him the happiest of birthdays and take this time to show our appreciation for the Pittsburgh Steelers' legend and Hall of Famer.

Woodson was selected 10th overall in the first round of the 1987 NFL draft by the Steelers. He would hold out for 95 days prior to his rookie season while running track in the European circuit. Woodson would start his NFL dominance in October of 1987 after reaching a deal with the Steelers. During his time in the NFL and after he would become an 8 time All-Pro selection (6 first team), 11 time Pro Bowler, a member of the NFL 75th Anniversary Team, 1990's Team of the Decade, NFL 100th Anniversary Team, Steelers All Time Team, Steelers Hall of Honor Team, and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Woodson once tore his ACL during the Steelers first game of the regular season, and returned to play in the same season when the Steelers reached Super Bowl 30.

Thank you for the memories, Rod! These are just some of our favorite highlights below.
