Joe Haden Won’t be Cap Casualty

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden has been a name often brought up when referring to potential salary cap casualties. He put an end to that on Twitter tonight.

Clayton who joined 93.7 the fan in Pittsburgh predicted that the Steelers could release Haden and linebacker Vince Williams to help get under the salary cap. By releasing Haden, the Steelers would only have Justin Layne, Steven Nelson, and James Pierre left from last year’s 53-man roster.

That doesn’t seem like something they would want to do.

Never say never, but we will roll with Haden’s word on this one. It won’t be a surprise to see an extension for Haden to help free up cap space.

More to come.

The Steelers have always been a central part of my life. I grew up listening to WDVE tapes recorded off of the radio of Steelers fight songs, and wearing Steelers jerseys as a fashion statement. I joined the message board when I was 12, and this site has been a big part of my life ever since. I’ve found life long friends and met some of the best people on earth through this site. In 2015, I was able to help revive the site and develop a news website and all of our social media platforms. I can’t wait to continue to grow with all of you. Go Steelers!
