Ben Roethlisberger will not start on Friday in New York against the Giants, Mike Tomlin said today during his press conference. In his place will be rookie QB Josh Dobbs, who will make his professional debut. Dobbs was drafted in the fourth round out of Tennessee.
Back-up QB Landry Jones will also miss the game with an abdominal injury that has caused him to miss most of training camp. With Jones also not available fourth stringer Bart Houston should find his way onto the field at some point.
Tomlin also will hold out Antonio Brown, and James Harrison on Friday. Everyone else that is healthy is expected to play.
