PITTSBURGH, PA - As we're all aware, Pittsburgh Steelers' all-pro running back Le'Veon Bell is still away from the team holding out, and we're already heading into Week 8 of the 2018 NFL Season. Just about everyday, we're hearing reports and speculation on when, even if he'll be back, but no one really knows for sure. To me, it's all hearsay until we actually hear straight from Le'Veon.
Being his usual playful and light-hearted self, second year stud wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster made headlines again Wednesday when he said he bought 100-plus Mega Millions tickets this week in efforts to "get Le'Veon back." He later added that "it didn't work," per ESPN Reporter, Jeremy Fowler.
"If you donβt ever play, you never know," Smith-Schuster lightly explained. "I had to go in there and shoot my shot.β
Smith-Schuster leads the Steelers in receptions (42) and yards (561) entering Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns. He's got two receiving touchdowns to add on top of that.
With the latest reports being that Bell's new anticipated arrival date back to the team is set to be this week, the Steelers will continue to lean on James Connor in the running game if Bell is once again a no-show.
More details to come.
Man @LeVeonBell I did my best for you!!! No luck tho ππ https://t.co/yFmXylmFgm
