Le'Veon Bell Wins AFC Player of the Month

author image

Le"Veon Bell had an outstanding month of December as he averaged 142.3 yards from scrimmage, with 310 rushing yards and 259 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in the four games he played. He joins former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis as the only Steelers players to be named for the award multiple times.

It's no secret at this point in the season, Bell has been outstanding in all aspects and the style he brings to the table for the Pittsburgh Steelers gives the offense something to depend on heading into the post season. It's not often a running back possesses what Bell does. His size, strength, mobility and signature patience are a nightmare for opposing defenses. As we have seen this month, Bell is not your typical running back by any means, as he nearly matched his rushing yards total with receiving yards and had 24 receptions and 2 receiving touchdowns in Decemeber.

Perhaps Le'Veon's most memorable touchdown of the month came against Cincinnati on December 4th...

With a combination of concentration and athleticism (and a little help from Cincinnati forgetting how to tackle) Bell turned this short pass into a very impressive touchdown. The answer is yes, he does make just about every play look this easy.

Keep up the great work Le'Veon, your presence gives the city of Pittsburgh and Steelers fans everywhere a lot to look forward to!
