LATROBE, PA - Multiple reports regarding Pittsburgh Steelers' all-pro quarterback Ben Roethlisberger indicate that he was holding his head after he went down during Tuesday's practice. Sources say that he threw a pass during a drill, but there's no official word on what made him take to the ground there afterward.
Once Roethlisberger arose, he had a brief conversation with General Manager Kevin Colbert and head athletic trainer John Norwig. He then left the field.
Roethlisberger wasn't scheduled to play Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers and is now being evaluated as part of the concussion protocol.
More details to follow.
