Berhe, a fifth round draft pick of the Giants in 2014, has mostly played special teams during his tenure in the NFL. He has 26 career tackles in 38 games.
The signing helps reduce the hit from releasing safety and special teamer Robert Golden. Golden signed with the Chiefs on Tuesday.
