The Steelers signed 15 players to reserve/future contracts last week, and there were five familiar names that didn’t get a contract.

Those names included: QB Duck Hodges, WR Deon Cain, RB Wendell Smallwood, K Matt Wright, and TE Charles Jones.

Hodges of course is the biggest name on the list because of his starting duty when Ben Roethlisberger was out in 2019.

This certainly isn’t the end for any of these guys with the Steelers as they’re all going to be familiar names that could find their way back if their available in a pinch.

Do you think the Steelers should bring back Hodges or no? Let us know in the comments below, SteelerNation!

The Steelers have always been a central part of my life. I grew up listening to WDVE tapes recorded off of the radio of Steelers fight songs, and wearing Steelers jerseys as a fashion statement. I joined the message board when I was 12, and this site has been a big part of my life ever since. I’ve found life long friends and met some of the best people on earth through this site. In 2015, I was able to help revive the site and develop a news website and all of our social media platforms. I can’t wait to continue to grow with all of you. Go Steelers!

As a fan, I am sad to see Duck go. He has the Pittsburgh heart and I wish he could stay.
