The Pittsburgh Steelers signed safety Karl Joseph to their practice squad today, but that might just be a formality.

Pittsburgh Post Gazette writer Gerry Dulac tweeted out tonight that he expects the Steelers to promote him after he goes through the 5 day COVID process.
The Steelers expected to bring newly added S Karl Joseph off the practice squad once six-day Covid-19 protocol for new players expires. Couple that with the return of Arthur Maulet and they are up to 10 DBs. And they still might add another from the waiver wire.

Like Dulac says, it's likely the Steelers could still add another defensive back that was recently released. Regardless we should expect Joseph to see time against the Buffalo Bills on September 12.
