With time running out for teams to designate a franchise player, it is expected the Steelers will do so with Le'Veon Bell by tomorrow's 4pm deadline.
The Steelers and Bell had been optimistic that a deal could have been done even as early as Feb. 20, but progress has staled. The sticking point most likely in guaranteed money.
Despite some early optimism at getting a long-term deal done before the deadline, the #Steelers are expected to franchise tag RB LeβVeon Bell before the Tuesday deadline, barring a dramatic turn in talks. Both sides will keep working on a deal.

Should Bell play on the tag he will make 14.55 million this season. Easily making him the highest paid running back for the second consecutive season.
