ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Steelers have informed Le'Veon Bell that he has been franchise tagged for the second consecutive year.

Bell has threatened retirement if he and the team is unable to work out a long-term deal. This will give the two sides more time to negotiate a new contract, but one has to believe that neither side is happy at the moment.
