Steelers Release CB Steven Nelson

We knew after last week that things were a bit rocky between the Pittsburgh Steelers and cornerback, Steven Nelson. Tuesday, the Steelers announced that they’ll be moving forward without the six year veteran.

Nelson played four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs before joining the Steelers in 2019. In two seasons in black and gold, Nelson had 30 starts, 3 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries, and 95 solo tackles.

We appreciate everything you did for us, Steven. Sorry it didn’t end on the best note. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Managing Editor of SteelerNation.com, I’m a Steelers fan first, and a human being second. I BLEED black and gold! I love everything Steeler Nation and I’ve been with this staff since February 2018. I now reside in sunny San Diego, CA, but that doesn’t stop me from going to at LEAST 3-4 Steeler games a season. I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2010, and if I’m not watching a Steelers game, you can catch me at the beach, stuffing my face with Golden Oreos, or in front of anything Marvel. I report breaking news, I'm the site's designer, and I’m a big Penguins fan too! Follow me on Instagram @bwall_24! And if you need a new website for your own business or personal brand, hit me up!
