Steelers to Re-Sign Stevan Ridley to One-Year Deal

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Steelers running back Stevan Ridley has re-signed with Pittsburgh on a one-year deal.

Ridley, who started and spent most of his career in New England, played in 2 games last season with Pittsburgh. With LeVeon Bell‘s long-term contract still in the negotiation stages, and second-year running back James Conner coming off of a season-ending injury, the Steelers look to at least lock down the rest of their reserve role players in the backfield from a year ago. Running back Fitzgerald Toussaint was also re-signed to a one-year deal with Pittsburgh earlier last month.

Ridley averaged 4.2 yards per carry with the Steelers last season and the team expects him to perform in a similar reserve role this upcoming year.
