Coming off of an ACL tear late last season, Pittsburgh Steelers' WR Eli Rogers is expected to start the 2018 NFL season on the PUP list.
It was reported earlier this month as well that Rogers is suspended for the first game of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Rogers has yet to practice this offseason but expects to be ready later in the year. As Rogers continues to recuperate, rookie James Washington seems to be the biggest beneficiary of Rogers' absence in terms of practice reps with the first team offense.
Steelers WR Eli Rogers expected to start the regular season on the PUP list, according to a source. This gives Rogers - who’s suspended Week 1 for a substance abuse violation — time to fully recover from a torn ACL. He hasn’t practiced all preseason, so the move is anticipated.
