Improving the run game and stopping the run game were the two key points Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin kicked off his Tuesday press conference with. He also noted the significant contribution of wide receiver, James Washington and his strong play against the Indianapolis Colts. That, along with the Steelers defense being able to generate effective pressure on the quarterback, which ultimately led to a 26-24 victory last Sunday.
Tomlin further addressed lingering injuries to starting guard, Ramon Foster who is scheduled to practice this week, and starting running back, James Conner who will be limited with a shoulder injury. Benny Snell Jr. and Ulysses Gilbert already listed as OUT.
As far as the upcoming battle against the Los Angeles Rams at Heinz Field, Tomlin stressed trying to minimize running back, Todd Gurley and All-Pro defensive lineman, Aaron Donald.
