What’s Wrong with Boswell?

By Brandon Wallace

OAKLAND, CA – After receiving a near $20 million contract this past offseason over the next five years, Pittsburgh Steelers‘ kicker Chris Boswell has already missed six field goals this season, and five missed PAT’s. He ended last season with a 92.1 field goal percentage and was named to his first Pro Bowl as he represented the AFC Conference. So, what’s going on with “The Boz” this season? After Sunday’s humiliating loss to the 2-10 Oakland Raiders where the game came down to a missed last second game tying field goal, reporters finally caught up with Boswell to see if they could get an idea of his thought process at this point. Have a look:

Boswell was everything but enthusiastic during the interview, but rightfully so. The Oakland debacle was just the latest of miscues from the Steelers’ as a whole this season as they are now on an unfortunate three game losing streak. With that said, the Steelers are still first place in the AFC North and look to face a familiar foe in the New England Patriots at Heinz Field this coming Sunday. The Steelers schedule doesn’t get any easier as they travel to New Orleans to face the Saints the following week, and end the season against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals week 17.

We believe in you, Chris! More ahead.
