With the 28th overall pick in the 2018 draft the Pittsburgh Steelers used their first round pick on Virginia Tech's safety Terrell Edmunds. Might not have been the pick many Steelers fans had expected, but when it comes to the drafting process, this organization very rarely misses.
In his three years at Virginia Tech, Edmunds racked up 196 total tackles, 8.5 for a loss, 6 interceptions, and 14 passes defended. Pretty impressive tackling ability in addition to his ball-hawking skills. His size and athleticism are very desirable at his position, as he stands at 6'1" and 217 pounds.

Today marked the day that two brothers had been drafted in the first round as Terrell's brother Tremaine Edmunds was drafted 16th overall by the Buffalo Bills. It's no surprise that both brothers are talented athletes, their father Ferrell Edmunds was a Pro-Bowl and All-Pro tight end with the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks. Looks like we'll have to wait and see how Terrell fits in with the team as Pittsburgh does have some talent at the position already. Coach Tomlin stated how versatile Edmunds is at free and strong safety. The best part of the selection was who called his name at the podium...
