In the AFC North there is a lot of hype around the three young quarterbacks who have been drafted in the last three seasons. All three have had great success in college, as all three have won the coveted Heisman Trophy.
While this hype may or may not be justified due to their success in college, Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro defensive lineman Cam Heyward has a message for them which he shared in an interview with Adam Lefkoe earlier this week.
"We've got a gauntlet of Heismans that I'm looking forward to wrecking this year."
Man oh man. No matter how big the task is, Heyward and the Steelers defense is willing to take it head on. He adds some more tidbits, pointing to how having a proven championship quarterback on their team makes them a little anxious to face these college phenoms.
"As a defense that doesn't have a Heisman winning quarterback, but has a Super Bowl winning quarterback you know we can't wait, we're salivating at these opportunities."
The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the AFC North, as well as in the entire NFL. They won't be making it easy on the young bloods this season. They are going to make sure they have to earn their spot at the top before crowning them the king of the AFC North.
