There's been talk around Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback, Joe Haden, being 'washed' before the season started, but with the plays he's been making for this year's defense, that talk has quickly faded.
Last Sunday, Haden recorded two interceptions against the Arizona Cardinals tallying four official takeaways with four interceptions and one forced fumble for the 2019 season. Just in front of Haden is T.J. Watt who has been one of the biggest weapons for the Steelers' defense this season. Watt has recorded five forced fumbles and two interceptions with seven takeaways. Following is, of course, the newest threat to the defense, Minkah Fitzpatrick with six takeaways, five interceptions and one forced fumble.
Haden, now 30 years old, has been more successful in making plays this season than he has in a long time and the stats show it. His four interceptions for the 2019 season tie for the second-most in his career dating all the way back to his rookie season with six in 2010.
His teammates have been recognizing his efforts on the field too and have been nothing but verbal about it. Ramon Foster took to Twitter after Sunday's game to address the 'washed up' talk.

T.J. Watt also spoke to the media after the win on Sunday noting the accomplishments Haden has been making on the field.
βJoe studies really hard," Watt said. βA lot of people donβt understand the amount of things it takes to see formations and recognize what plays can potentially come out of those formations. Itβs one of the best things I see Joe do. The study and preparation throughout the week and the hard work pays off."
Haden's Alma Mater also recognized his intensity against the Cardinals on Twitter.

βHeβs Joe Haden," Fitzpatrick said. "Heβs going to be a future Hall of Famer. Heβs smart, fast, you never see him out of position. He makes plays and turnovers when you need him."
