Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster took to the media on Wednesday this week and was asked about the team's success so far this season, along with a few other interesting questions. One being comparisons to future Steelers Hall of Fame receiver, Hines Ward, and what Smith-Schuster took from Ward (if anything) to apply to his game. Smith-Schuster responded:
"One of Hines' favorite routes was a 'choice' route. Kind of like a middle read of the field. That's something I took into passion that if I could master that to the point where I could be the best I could be at that for our team, ... that's something I took from him. Obviously, the [physicality] is something I've always had in myself, and you know, Hines was a physical guy. With that being said, those are the two main things that I took from Hines Ward at the time (Smith-Schuster's rookie year when Ward was a Steelers intern WR coach)."
Would have been an honor, my brother. I’m proud of you. You’re a legend in the making. @TeamJuJu #blazeyourowntrail https://t.co/DuaEGHagnY

Smith-Schuster currently leads the Steelers in receptions (54), targets (70), receiving yards (516), along with 5 receiving touchdowns which is good for 2nd on the team behind rookie, Chase Claypool.
Smith-Schuster and the Steelers will look to continue their hot streak this Sunday against the (1-8) Jacksonville Jaguars at 1pm EST.
More to come.
