I think this is one thing we all saw coming.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will not be holding their annual training camp at St. Vincent of Latrobe in 2020, due to guidelines set by the NFL in the continuing aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. The team instead will train at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex in the South Side.

In a statement released by team owner Art Rooney II, he made it official:

"We are disappointed for our fans and the city of Latrobe that we will not be able to hold our annual training camp at Saint Vincent College in 2020, but we are adhering to the policies and guidelines set forth from the NFL for teams that travel from their facilities each year.

We look forward to returning to training camp at Saint Vincent College in 2021."

Steeler Nation and media took to Twitter to respond to the news:

Of course the health and safety of the players and staff are most important. Regardless, many people are disappointed to see a 54-year tradition come to an end. But for now, we can hold onto the positives. All NFL training camps are still scheduled to begin on time, and the Steelers plan to return to their training camp home next summer.

What are your thoughts on the training camp location change? Sound off in the comments below!
