The Steelers had a surprise roster move on Saturday ahead of the 4pm deadline. They released veteran guard Stefen Wisniewski, who was just reinstated from injured reserve. Wisniewski had to either be activated on Wednesday or he would be out for the entire season. It's possible that he could be re-signed once he's completely healthy as he wasn't able to fully participate in practice after he was activated.
The Steelers also released running back Trey Edmunds who was signed from the practice squad last week. Edmunds will likely head back to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
Newly acquired linebacker, Avery Williamson cleared the COVID protocol and was activated to the active roster. Fellow linebacker, Jayrone Elliott was also signed from the practice squad to the 53. Both are expected to play tomorrow in Dallas.

Rookie Antoine Brooks Jr. was elevated to the active roster for the second straight week. He will revert back to the practice squad following the game tomorrow.
To fill Elliott's spot on the practice squad, the team signed defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas. Christmas was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Christmas visited the team on Monday and cleared the COVID protocol today.
