If you followed my picks from Week 8, you would have gone 3-0 (16-5 YTD). The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the road again this week, but luckily it is just the Dallas Cowboys. As always, lines are brought to you via FanDuel Sportsbook. *Lines may change when and wherever you do your betting.
Let’s get started!
Spread: Pittsburgh -14.5 (Opened at Pittsburgh -13.5)
The Steelers enter the season as one of the best against the spread (6-1) while the Cowboys have been the worst against the spread (0-7). This is not a hard one to digest as the Steelers come in as one of the best offense and defenses in the NFL. The Cowboys have been awful on the defensive end allowing over 33 points per game. On top of that, since Dak Prescott's injury, the Cowboys average 7.3 points per game offensively. The Cowboys will turn to their 4th new starting quarterback in Garrett Gilbert. He will be tasked with trying to get the ball out before the Steelers front 4 get to him without the help of Ezekiel Elliott. To me this is just a recipe for disaster for the Cowboys as the Steelers look to extend their undefeated season. To simply put it, Dallas has no place in this game and the Steelers should put on a scoring clinic.
Stiffler’s Pick: Pittsburgh -14.5 (Confident)
Total: Over/Under 43.5 (Opened at 41.5)
As I said above the Cowboys are giving up 33+ points a game and the Steelers are fifth in the NFL in scoring offense. I think the Steelers could cover this total on their own in this matchup. The only games the Cowboys have been close in have been shootouts so worst case scenario it is back and forth. Take the over while it is low.
Stiffler’s Pick: Over 43.5 (Confident)
1st Half Spread: Pittsburgh -7.5
This game should be in the Steelers control from start to finish. I expect the Steelers to strike early and often to really put away the Cowboys. They need to get in a rhythm quickly this week compared to last week when it took them two quarters to find. This is a low stress easy game similar to the Cleveland Browns game two weeks ago.
Stiffler’s Pick: Pittsburgh -7.5 (Confident)
