Trade!! The Pittsburgh Steelers Select.... Devin Bush!

With the 10th pick, in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Devin Bush, LB, Michigan. The Steelers trade up to 10th overall to acquire Bush.

Trade:

Broncos Send: 10th Overall Pick

Steelers Send: 20th Overall Pick, 52nd Overall Pick, 2020 3rd Round Pick

Trade Grade: A

The Steelers surprisingly didn't have to give up much to move up 10 spots in this year's draft. Their 2nd round pick this year (52nd) and a third in next year's draft is all they had to add in addition to this year's first round pick. The Steelers have the Raiders 3rd round pick this year (66) which is essentially a late 2nd round pick, and will likely have an additional 3rd round pick in 2020 due to the Le'Veon Bell contract with the Jets. Overall, this trade provides great value for the Steelers.

Pick Grade: B+

Several Steelers fan were wishing for Devin Bush to be the Steelers pick this year. It is no secret they needed a middle linebacker since the injury to Ryan Shazier, and it was always very unlikely Devin White would be an option. Bush is an elite athlete who possesses rare speed, similarly to Shazier when he was drafted. Bush didn't always jump off your screen, but he was consistently around the ball, and has all the tools to refine his skills and become the next elite linebacker in the middle of the Steelers defense.
