This past Sunday, former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker, Anthony Chickillo announced his retirement from the NFL on his personal Instagram account. His career comes to an end after six seasons, five of which were with the Steelers.

Chickillo was the Steelers 6th round pick (#212 overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft. He went onto spend his first five seasons with the Steelers, and during that time he mostly operated as the team's 3rd OLB and a special teams contributor.
He appeared in a total of 65 games with the Steelers, collecting 97 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles.
The Steelers released Chickillo in March of 2020, and he then signed with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints released him at the beginning of the 2020 season but was re-signed to their practice squad. He was then signed by the Denver Broncos a couple weeks later and finished the 2020 season on their roster.
Chickillo did not sign with anyone this offseason, so his retirement may have been in the works for awhile now, or the lack of interest may have assisted his decision.
