The Pittsburgh Steelers weren't playing in the big game on Sunday, but one current Steelers' player was on your TV. That player was defensive captain, Cameron Heyward. There had been several teasers for the nearly 2-minute commercial, but there wasn't a clear direction on what exactly the commercial would be advertising.

In the commercial Heyward, and fellow NFL defensive lineman Aiden Hutchinson would portray hotel house keepers. While knocking on a hotel room door, Heyward and Hutchinson would be ran over by Mexican flag football star Diana Flores. Flores is a star quarterback for the Women’s National Flag Football in Mexico.

The other western Pennsylvania connection in the commercial was Hall of Famer Jim Kelly. Kelly of course grew up 60 miles outside of Pittsburgh in East Brady. Kelly would go on to lead the Buffalo Bills to 4 consecutive Super Bowls but failed to win any. Other stars included cornerbacks Sauce Gardner, and Jalen Ramsey, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, and YouTuber Mr. Beast

You can catch Heyward around the 1:15 mark.

The NFL used the commercial as the beginning of their campaign to highlight women that are advancing the sport of football all around the world. In the commercial you can see several athletes and people attempting to stop Flores but they're unable to. The NFL hopes to continue developing women in the game. Last week during the Pro Bowl Games Flores was the AFC Offensive coordinator.

Steelers Involved In The Greatest Super Bowl Commerical Of All Time

It's been decades since Steelers legend Mean Joe Greene debuted his Coke commercial. The commercial debuted on October 1, 1979, and was re-aired multiple times, most notably during Super Bowl XIV in 1980. The Steelers and Greene would win Super Bowl XIV and it would push the commercial further into fame.

Other notable Steelers who were featured in commercial's during the Super Bowl were Antonio Brown, Troy Polamalu, and Le'Veon Bell. Polamalu was featured in an ad paid for by TruTV back in 2010. That particular commercial aired during Super Bowl XLIV, a year before the Steelers would return to the big game for Super Bowl XLV.

There also was the time Polamalu was involved in a spin off of Greene's Coke commercial.

To no fault of Polamalu, that one just didn't hit like the original.
