It has been a year since the tragic passing of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Dwayne Haskins Jr. It shocked the NFL world in April of 2022 when the signal-caller was hit by a dump truck while crossing a road in Florida. The 24-year old had a high blood alcohol content at the time he was hit on Interstate 595 near the exit of I95. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Haskins was reportedly trying to cross the road and get gas, per a 911 call from his wife, Kalabrya.

His unfortunate death has come back into the news recently. Late on Sunday, former Steelers safety, Ryan Clark tweeted out that, according to sources, there will be a civil suit in regards to his death. There is still a ton of information that is not known by the public, but Clark tweets that this is expected to be filed soon.
Per sources close to the situation, an upcoming press release pertaining to the death of Dwayne Haskins will detail a civil lawsuit into the events that led to Haskins’ death exactly 1 year ago today.

Steelers Honored Haskins Jr. During The 2022 Season
As of now, no further information has been released by Kalabrya Haskins, but there's no doubt that his bright personality was missed in the Steelers locker room in 2022.
The organization honored him by wearing a patch on the back of each player's helmet with the #3 on it. It was a shocking and unexpected death and the lawsuit will hopefully bring to light a few more details about what could have happened on that April morning.
Haskins Standout 2018 Season At Ohio State
Haskins only played for two seasons at Ohio State in 2017 and 2018 before being drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders. He had a spectacular season with the Buckeyes in 2018, throwing for 4,831 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. He completed 70% of his passes and had a passer rating of 174.1. He led Ohio State to a 13-1 record, including a win over Washington in the Rose Bowl. Haskins was also named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting.
