Just because the 2023 NFL Draft is coming to a close, but that does not mean that the Pittsburgh Steelers are done finding players to improve their roster. Right after the 2022 NFL Draft, the Steelers signed Damontae Kazee for safety depth and he made a solid impact once he recovered from a broken arm.
The Steelers will be looking for more players like Kazee, and whoever they sign will have to be cheap, as the Steelers will have next-to-no cap space once draft picks sign their contracts. General Manager, Omar Khan has already found great value all offseason long and he can do it again.

Who Should The Steelers Sign Post-Draft?
On a team that has had problematic linebacker play, there is no such thing as too much linebacker depth. Yes, the Steelers signed Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts, but Zach Cunningham would add great depth at linebacker for the Steelers. Even if Cunningham doesn't play every snap, he should still be able to make an impact as a rotational piece.
Injuries have hampered his ability over the previous two seasons with the Tennessee Titans, but he might have something left in the tank and the Steelers should try and get every last drop out of him.
When healthy, Cunningham can be a tackling machine and a run stopper, which the Steelers have been trying to find for a while. The team drafted Keanu Benton and signed Breiden Fehoko to help, and Cunningham can be that smaller, faster run defender to make a play in the hole. He can keep the opposing running back from getting to the second level. It may not be the sexiest signing, but extra run defense won't hurt.

Steelers could look to sign Trey Flowers
Another injury-prone player that could do well as a role-player as opposed to a starter should be on the Steelers radar. Trey Flowers could be an impactful rotational piece with the Steelers, especially with TJ Watt's injury history. Flowers won't be able to replace Watt on the field in case of injury, but when he's healthy, he can be a force off of the edge. At very least they should see if Flowers has anything left after all of his injuries. His contract would be cheap, like anyone else that the Steelers would sign in this situation.
When healthy, Flowers kept racking up sacks and causing all kinds of trouble for opposing tackles with the New England Patriots and the Detroit Lions. He never got to show what he could do with the Miami Dolphins due the aforementioned injuries, but if he can get back up to speed and stay healthy, he would be a great depth piece for an edge group that desperately needs something behind Watt and Alex Highsmith, alongside newest edge rusher, Nick Herbig.

Steelers linebacker Mark Robinson showed promise in his late season addition but the team will still look to add at his position.

Another depth piece that the Steelers could look into is a former Steelers special teamer in Marcus Allen. Once Allen moved from safety to linebacker, he suddenly developed into more than a practice squad player. He could come back to contribute on special teams alongside Tanner Muse, as well as providing depth at linebacker whether or not Cunningham does get signed.
Even with Holcomb and Roberts being signed, Allen can be the speedster needed at the linebacker position. He is also very familiar with the system so he could at least help the free agent acquisitions learn and thrive in Pittsburgh. There are ways for Allen to contribute and he can come back to the team, as long as he's willing to return to Pittsburgh.
