The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of, if not, the best defensive player in the entire NFL on their roster. TJ Watt has been flying under the radar throughout the 2023 offseason due to an injury that held him back in 2022. He tore his pectoral muscle while also dealing with a knee injury. He still managed to start 10 games and have 5.5 sacks while also hauling in two interceptions. The 2021 AP Defensive Player of the Year will enter the 2023 campaign healthy and it will be pivotal for him to return to peak form if the defense wants to be one of the league's best.

Despite having a down year statistically in 2022 due to the injuries, Watt was still a force when on the field. He is heading into his seventh NFL season with 333 tackles, 162 quarterback hits, 88 tackles for loss, 77.5 sacks, 23 forced fumbles, seven fumbles recoveries and six interceptions throughout his career. He is already building a Hall of Fame resume and barring injury, still has plenty of years left in him.

The offseason is always a slow time, especially right before training camp is set to begin. Many players take vacations with families as they charge up for the new season quickly approaching. Media outlets are also a bit slow, which is why a bunch go on to post hypothetical scenarios on Twitter in order to continue fan engagement during the slow periods. The NFL on ESPN account sent one out on Thursday involving Watt.

While Steelers fans would immediately pick Watt due to clear bias, the trio of him, Nick Bosa and Myles Garrett is a scary one. It's hard to legitimately pick one to 'bench' in this situation. Garrett is the only one without a Defensive Player of the Year Award, however. Watt won his in 2021 while Bosa took home the honor after the 2022 season.

Former Steelers Cornerback Warns Teams Of Watt Staple Celebration

Momentum is key in any sport and when Watt gets going, it's extremely evident that opposing offenses are potentially in for a long day of football. One example of this was September of 2020 when the pass rusher had an impressive four tackles, four QB hits and 2.5 sacks against the Denver Broncos. One of his teammates at the time, Steven Nelson, had a front row seat for the dominant performance.

Nelson, who played for the Steelers for two years from 2019-2020 chimed in on Twitter when he came across the graphic from ESPN. The now-Houston Texans defender warned any team that has to witness Watt celebrate.

All Steelers fans are well aware of the signature Watt leg kick. There isn't anything much better then an Acrisure Stadium crowd erupting to a sack and the dominant edge rusher aggressively kicking his leg high up in the air. Not only does the crowd feed off of his energy, but the entire defense gets behind it and it often leads to more bad things for an offense.

The entire city of Pittsburgh is ready to see Watt leg kick again. It's a simple, yet legendary celebration that clearly fires Watt up. An old teammate of his like Nelson was in those huddles before and after big plays from the edge rusher and his Twitter response could send chills down any Steelers fan's spine. The 2023 season is almost here and a healthy Watt is the last thing the league's offenses want to see lined up on the opposite side of them.
