The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently riding a two-game win streak as they get ready to play the Houston Texans in Week 4 of the 2023 season. They are 1-0 in their division and 2-0 in the AFC conference which currently has them at the top of the AFC North and second in the conference as a whole. The rest of their division has struggled at times this season. The Cincinnati Bengals being 1-2 and losing two games within the division and the Baltimore Ravens having just had a surprising overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Steelers Named The AFC North Team You Should Least Want To Face
Offensively, the Steelers looked absolutely horrendous through the first two weeks of the season. Pickett had thrown three interceptions in two games, and the running game was non-existent. After two games, the Pittsburgh defense had as many touchdowns as the offense, and fans everywhere were calling for Offensive Coordinator Matt Canada's job.
However, in their Week 3 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders, the offense had their best game of the season. Pickett had his first multi-passing touchdown game of his career, the defense had three takeaways, and the run game finally totaled over 100 yards. Things seem to be trending in the right direction for the Steelers, and Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football has taken notice as he thinks the Steelers are the most dangerous team in their division.
"There was a moment in that Steelers win and we all saw it, when Pickett threw a touchdown to [Pat] Freiermuth, where him and [Mike] Tomlin pointed to each other and had a moment. It's like oh no, don't let these two get hot. Don't let Pickett be the breakout player that Peter [Schrager] predicted he would be. There was something that clicked in the Week 3 win for the Steelers."
Brandt is right. It seems something clicked for the offense in Week 3. Granted, they weren't playing a top five defense like they did in the first two weeks of the season, but what they did was still impressive all things considered. Kenny Pickett was finally able to throw for multiple touchdowns in a NFL game and they didn't commit a turnover, and was finally able to consistently put points on the board.

The Steelers offense only scored one touchdown in each of the team's first two games of the season, amounting to just 13 points since they failed on the two-point conversion in Week 2. In Week 3, it was a completely different story as they found a way to score two touchdowns and consistently get the ball on the Raiders side of the field to allow Chris Boswell to kick three field goals. While the three field goals can be seen as a negative, since the offense wasn't able to convert on third downs and continue making their way down the field, this was a huge step forward for the offense that hopefully instilled some confidence into Pickett and the rest of the unit.

Brandt continued to discuss the AFC North, and raved about how the offense finally looks like it is hitting its stride. However, he spoke more about the history of the Steelers and who they are as an organization and the overall consistency they possess when talking about how he decided who the most dangerous team in the North was.
"It's always Pittsburgh to me. If you're struggling with one, just stick with the most consistent and the healthiest. I think it's Pittsburgh."
The Steelers haven't had a losing season since 2003, they are the mark of consistency in the NFL. This season is about keeping that non-losing tradition alive, while trying to break into the upper echelon of teams in the AFC. They need to find a way to properly utilize and develop all of their young talent. If they are able to do that while the offense continues to find their stride, they very well should be considered the most dangerous team in the division.
