Highly rated wide receiver DK Metcalf, who left the Seattle Seahawks in March, is apparently a big part of the reason veteran QB Aaron Rodgers opted to move to the Pittsburgh Steelers. At 27-years-old and a two-time Pro Bowl pick, Metcalf will no doubt be eagerly awaiting the ammunition thrown by Rodgers and is a player that long-serving Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will hope can help Pittsburgh reach the Super Bowl for the first time since 2010.

Steelers fans who wish to back their team to go deep into the postseason can back those hopes with a bet while also making the most of this stunning Underdog Fantasy promo code ahead of the 2025 campaign. A player of Rodgers’ standing carries some weight in the game, and the type of respect he appears to have, and has illustrated in comments, will no doubt give Metcalf a great deal of confidence going into the next season.
Comments made by the 41-year-old on what Metcalf has to offer are very complimentary, and it will be interesting to see how the pair team up. Rodgers said of the Mississippi-born talent.
"DK is a lead-by-example guy," Rodgers explained. "He's a big reason I'm in Pittsburgh as well. Conversations that we had, and just the kind of person that he is. At the start of the year, I didn't really know DK at all... He's like, 'I work out at 6 a.m. every day.' I'm like, OK, this guy has discipline, this guy has a drive. I said, 'How about 8 o'clock because I'm gonna have to drive from Malibu to UCLA?' He said, 'Yeah, that's fine.' He's not just a specimen, but he's a really solid human being... He is a solid dude, and he leads by example. The way he practices. The room goes how the top dog goes, and when DK catches the ball and finishes 60 yards to the end zone, it makes everyone else want to do the same thing."
Metcalf impressed over the course of his six seasons in Seattle and will be looking to make an immediate impact for the Steelers.

As for Metcalf’s thoughts on Rodgers, well, it’s fair to say that they are both members of each other's respective fan club.
"I think it’s still a work in progress, we’re still growing," said Metcalf of his growing relationship with Rodgers. "Besides being teammates, I think he’s a great person off the field. I can learn a lot from him in life and about the game. When I was chilling with him one time, we were just doing trivia questions... We would name a player, and I would have to say their college or their nickname while they were playing. He’s a fun person to be around. He’s going to test me cerebrally. So, just looking forward to the continued conversations, the continued workouts. And hopefully we can put a product on the field that can last a lifetime," Metcalf added.
As for Tomlin, while he has consistently taken the Steelers to the playoffs, it’s worth noting that the last time Pittsburgh won a postseason game was back in 2016, so the pressure is growing on the 53-year-old to have a strong 2025.
