It was an immediate love for SteelerNation and Kevin Dotson. He was drafted by the Steelers and immediately had a room full of Steelers gear. That's because his father and him had been life long Steelers fans.

Dotson quickly became a fan favorite. Something that usually doesn't happen for a mid round offensive lineman before he's even played a down.
He hasn't disappointed.
This is what got Kevin Dotson drafted. Old school people mover. Rolls his hips through contact, runs 3T out of his gap, Snell with big lane for an eight yard gain. #Steelers pic.twitter.com/LnFnNWctKW

“He's like [David] DeCastro in a way, the way he pass-sets, the way he run-blocks. He has all the intangibles that you want in an offensive lineman,” Maurkice Pouncey told the Pittsburgh media this morning.
Decastro is an All-Pro guard. A first round draft pick. Those are big shoes to fill. But with Decastro having to miss time with various
injury issues this season it's easy to see the potential for Dotson. There hasn't been a noticable drop in play with Decastro, and Dotson ranked as the best pass blocking interiorlineman during his two starts according to PFF. Against Denver he didn't allow a single quarterback pressure.
“He's a really great kid. I can't say enough about him," Pouncey continued. "Hopefully, he keeps his head on the right way and keeps progressing in the right way. He will be a Steeler for a long time."
Dotson will be able to spend more time learning from Pouncey, Decastro, and the rest of his Steelers teammates granted everyone stays healthy. But if someone should get hurt down the line it's nice to know that Dotson is sitting there waiting. And he will be ready.
