Roethlisberger – “I’m 100 Percent In”

Ben Roethlisberger said “maybe I don’t have it anymore” directly after his 5 interceptions against Jacksonville, Sunday. If you look at the context, or know anything about Roethlisberger you would know that it was sarcasm from a frustrated quarterback.

This morning on his radio show on 93.7 The Fan, Roethlisberger discussed those comments and cleared things up for everyone.

He told Ron Cook and Andrew Fillipponi that his heart was still ‘100 percent’ into the game, and this team. He went on to say that if it wasn’t then he wouldn’t be so ‘ticked off’ at his performance.

There’s no question about it that Roethlisberger is going thru a bad stretch. Yesterday on NFLNETWORK former Steeler Ike Taylor described it as a ‘funk’ that Big Ben needed to fight his way thru. He said that players often go through situations like this, but Roethlisberger had never experienced a prolonged stretch like he’s dealing with currently.

Roethlisberger said he still feels like he’s one of the best in the world, and that ‘your talent doesn’t go away. It goes awry sometimes’.

“I’m a gunfighter. I got in a gun fight and I lost,” he said. “But I’m a Cowboy,” he said promising to return next week.
