While it was already announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers would be holding their 2020 training camp at Heinz Field instead of their usual location at Saint Vincent College, there were still some other details that were yet to be cleared up until yesterday.
Tuesday afternoon, the Steelers Director of Communications, Burt Lauten, tweeted "The #Steelers will not be hosting their annual Friday Night Lights practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. We look forward to returning to Saint Vincent College & Latrobe in 2021 for training camp."
While it may have been assumed by many that the Friday Night Lights practice was going to be canceled anyways, it has now been made official for those holding onto the last sliver of hope they had.
This paired with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine stating yesterday that there likely would't be fans at the Hall of Fame game between the Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys made for an unpleasant day for Steelers fans.
More to come.
