Things for the Pittsburgh Steelers have gone from bad to worse in the past couple weeks as they now are riding a two game losing streak nearing the playoffs. The only upside at the moment is they are officially one win away from securing an AFC North title. This task should be manageable as they have a Monday Night matchup with the Joe Burrow-less Cincinnati Bengals.
Mike Tomlin opened his press conference giving credit to the Buffalo Bills for their victory, stating they were the more physical group in all aspects of the game. Physicality was a big question point this week and he said the first step in fixing it is acknowledging it. He continued to express that their focus on the run game is going to continue, just as he stated the past couple weeks. Tomlin then discussed the injuries mentioning Matt Feiler (pec) is on IR, Kevin Dotson (shoulder), Terrell Edmunds (shoulder), Chukwuma Okorafor (ankle), James Conner (quad) all could be limited early on in the week. Joe Haden (concussion) is expected to come out of concussion protocol this week.
When discussing the Bengals, he did not go into great detail about their personnel rather discussing it is primetime football and they have the ability to secure an AFC North Title this week. Tomlin did say he does expect to get the best out of the Bengals because this is a rivalry game.
