So after their second game in a row with no new injuries, the Pittsburgh Steelers, for the first time this season, have their entire roster available to play this week.

JuJu Smith-Schuster returned to practice fully on Thursday and Friday after being limited on Wednesday. Vance McDonald was a full participant all week, which means he cleared concussion protocol with flying colors.

Joe Haden gave us all a scare when he didn’t practice on Thursday, when he practiced fully on Wednesday. Fortunately, his foot injury ended up being minor and was given a vet day off to get ready for the game this Sunday.

Everyone on the roster practiced fully on Friday and not one player was given a game designation. This is going to be a challenging week to pick seven healthy inactive players, but I’ll give it a try!

I track and try to predict timelines for Steeler players returning to the field. This is a link to our current spreadsheet. It will update on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after the practice reports are issued, as well as Post-Game and Tuesday after Coach Tomlin's press conferences. I believe the inactive players will be:

  1. Paxton Lynch: 3rd QB inactive
  2. Chukwuma Okorafor: The Steelers will rest Chukes with a healthy o-line
  3. Tuzar Skipper: He’s been inactive since he rejoined the team
  4. Artie Burns: The Steelers like Justin Layne for special teams. It looks like Artie will be inactive until there is an injury to one of the starting edge corners.
  5. Zach Gentry: He'll likely return to the ranks of inactive with a healthy Vance McDonald back on the field
  6. Isaiah Buggs: He was a surprise inactive last week for me, but should sit again this week if you follow the trend
  7. Amara Darboh: He was promoted from the practice squad this week, but I think it was more to do with the fact that they cut Tevin Jones. Since JuJu is ready to play, he should be the one who sits this week.

Do you think someone else will sit instead?  Comment below and let us know your selections!
