Offensive lineman, Stefen Wisniewski was activated on Wednesday, otherwise he would have been lost for the season. It seems that his pectoral is not healing as quickly as the team anticipated. Wisniewski didn’t practice until Friday and was limited. He is listed as doubtful along with Mike Hilton who is still trying to work back from his shoulder injury.
Ulysees Gilbert III was placed on Injured Reserve with back and knee issues. We are not sure if he will return to the roster this season.
Vance McDonald missed Friday's practice with an illness. It is unsure what the illness is or what the severity is, but he is questionable for this week’s game.
Tyson Alualu has been ruled out, but fortunately Cameron Heyward practiced all week and will play, as well as Isaiah Buggs.
This is a link to our current spreadsheet. It will update on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after the practice reports are issued, as well as Post-Game and Tuesday after Coach Tomlin's press conferences. Bookmark it to see how the health of the Steelers are shaping up each week.
This week I believe the inactive players will be:
- Josh Dobbs: Healthy scratch/ 3rd QB
- Tyson Alualu: Ruled out so he won’t play.
- Stefen Wisniewski: Listed as doubtful, so he probably won’t play.
- Mike Hilton: Listed as doubtful, so he probably won’t play.
- Zach Gentry: Hasn’t been active this year and probably won’t be active again on Sunday.
- Derwin Gray: Steeles are carrying two extra offensive linemen, so I don’t expect him to play.
With all of the injuries on the defensive line, I expect Carlos Davis to suit up in his first NFL game. If the Steelers carry extra inactives, it could be Trey Edmunds, if Derek Watt is back to 100%.
Who do you think will be inactive for the Steelers this week? Let us know in the comments below.
