The Pittsburgh Steelers may have to decide if Kameron Kelly will make the starting appearance against New England in Week 1.
Six months ago, Kelly was playing cornerback and the receiver spot for the San Diego Fleet for the AAF. Just after the AAF shutdown fallout, he was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers and made the 53-man roster as a backup free safety. Now there's talk that Kelly may meet Tom Brady on the gridiron after getting first-team reps with the defense.
Steelers' starting FS, Sean Davis is still dealing with an ankle injury from the third preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.

Head coach, Mike Tomlin, will most likely make the final decision a few hours leading up to kickoff on Sunday.
Kelly had time at both safety and cornerback during his final three seasons in the AAF, picking off nine passes while breaking up 15 others to go with 164 tackles and two forced fumbles.

After catching the eyes of coaches and teammates during the summer, Kelly earned a spot on the roster. But despite his solid play throughout camp, Kelly questioned if he had a permanent spot on the team.
"I wasn't told anything. I just sat at home, waiting for a call," Kelly said, via Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I didn't get one, and I was sure happy.
"I am thankful for the opportunity, and I feel like I made the most of it. And now I've got 16 more opportunities."
