Wednesday Practice Report

The Steelers had their first day of preparation for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday, and a few starters returned to the field.

Marcus Gilbert, and Mike Mitchell practiced after missing last weekend's game in Baltimore. They along with James Harrison were full participants. Harrison missed time late last week with an illness.

Ryan Shazier was an addition to the injury report with a shoulder ailment. Bud Dupree, and Jesse James were also limited with a shoulder.

Stephon Tuitt did not practice today after making his first start since week 1. It's unclear whether it was just a precautionary extra day of rest for Tuitt or if he suffered a set back. Sean Davis, and Ramon Foster also sat out of practice today as they continue to deal with injuries. Both were able to play the entire game against Baltimore, though.

Ben Roethlisberger continued his season long trend of not participating in Wednesday practice.

Notes

Artie Burns said that the Steelers had a meeting regarding Antonio Brown's way over blown tantrum on the sidelines in Baltimore. He said they must "move forward" and they'll be alright.

"He got mad one play. So what? He's not Bob Knight," Cameron Heyward told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Player of the Week

Heyward was named AFC Defensive Player of the week by the NFL today.
