Pittsburgh Steelers fans who want to make sure they can catch every out-of-market game on NFL Sunday Ticket can get huge savings on their packages if they purchase before June 6. After being carried by DirecTV for nearly 30 years, the league announced in December that it had agreed to a seven-year deal with Google to have the out-of-market package on YouTube TV.

While Steeler Nation will still pack Acrisure Stadium on Sundays, when the team is on the road or you are, YouTube TV will let you catch the game anywhere.
In its final year on DirecTV, the package started at $300 with it costing fans as much as $400 when bundled with a satellite carrier's own RedZone. If you have a YouTube TV subscription and purchase your NFL Sunday Ticket before June 6, you're looking at paying $249 for the base package or $289 with RedZone. While the price point after the sale will be more expensive than in years past, the streaming behemoth thinks customers will be getting more bang for their buck.
"Although sticker prices are sort of similar today to what they might have been in the past, historically, there was a lot more that came with getting access to Sunday Ticket, multi-year contracts, a bunch of incremental fees that were charged, different things like that," Christian Oestlien,YouTube vice president of product management, said in a statement via The Athletic. "When you calculate the all-in price of what you’re actually paying to get access to Sunday Ticket, we think we’re going to be able to offer something that’s really price-competitive, really simple, and easy to understand.”

YouTube TV hopes that with more options, it can improve viewers' experience with NFL Sunday Ticket.
The biggest change in the shift away from DirecTV to the world of streaming will be the ability of Steelers fans to have a reliable, legal way to get the game from wherever they are in the United States. Previously, Sunday Ticket was mostly only available to customers with a satellite dish, though the company had offered an online version for those without access to satellite. Now, there will be no restrictions on getting the product online.
Other features on YouTube's NFL Sunday Ticket:

One of the biggest features that fans have been clamoring for is the ability to buy a single team or even a single game. Though it was not one of the new bells and whistles included in the initial release, Oestlien said the company is looking into all of its options in how to best offer content to customers.
