The Pittsburgh Steelers organization is headlined by many premiere athletes who had storied careers in the Steel City. The list is endless, from every member of the teams in the 1970s during the height of the Steelers dynasty to players like Troy Polamalu and Ben Roethlisberger who were able to win Super Bowls in 2005 and 2008. Despite the countless important figures in Steelers, none are more memorable than Terry Bradshaw, who is still lighting the sports world up with his consistent media appearances.

Bradshaw made a recent appearance on Julian Edelman's podcast, Games With Names, where the entire premise of the show is that it is an interview while also breaking down the biggest game or moment the guest was apart in.

In this instance, Bradshaw and Edelman were breaking down the 1972 Divisional Playoff game against the Oakland Raiders, when the Immaculate Reception occurred at the end of the game to win it for the Steelers. Pittsburgh went on to lose in the AFC Championship Game to the undefeated Miami Dolphins.

Steelers Legend Makes Julian Edelman Spit Food Everywhere In Laughter

About halfway through the interview, both Edelman and Bradshaw started eating wings. Bradshaw finished eating one down to the bone and politely asked where he should dispose of the bone itself. Edelman picked up a cup and told Bradshaw to put the bone in it. The cup also happened to be Edelman's 'spit cup' for his chewing tobacco and Bradshaw was disgusted.

"Aw man that's your spit cup, oh god. Get outta here. I used to chew tobacco. I made a mistake once of spitting into a Coca-Cola can."

Edelman could tell where the story was going. He obviously has used chewing tobacco most of his life, so he knew that someone most have drank out of the Coca-Cola can not knowing there was going to be spit in it. He immediately asked Bradshaw who drank out of it with a smile on his face.

"My girls" Bradshaw replied.

Bradshaw has three daughters, and unfortunately one of them made the innocent mistake of sipping out of their father's Coca-Cola can, which happened to be filled with dip spit. This caused Edelman to erupt, every piece of the chicken wing he was eating flew out of his mouth and landed on his couch. He couldn't stop laughing, and later said that he has done the same thing before, except it wasn't his children who drank it.

Steelers try to tackle Julian Edelman in a 2018 contest

Since Edelman's retirement from the NFL in 2021, he and Bradshaw have gotten pretty close. Bradshaw has worked as an analyst and co-host of FOX NFL Sunday since 1994, and Edelman signed on to be an analyst for Fox prior to the 2023 NFL season. The two have spent a lot of time together throughout the 2023 season, and Edelman even calls Bradshaw "Uncle Ter" throughout the interview on Games With Names which shows the type of relationship the two have.

Bradshaw opened up quite a bit during his appearance on Edelman's podcast. He gave a good glimpse into his playing days with the Steelers. He spoke about Joe Greene, talked about the time Bradshaw got into a heated fight during a Steelers practice, and discussed why he made a concerted effort to stay away from John Madden due to a grudge the two had between one another.

Bradshaw even took a shot at Edelman's quarterback, Tom Brady, during the interview. Stating that when Bradshaw played, he called his own plays which was something Brady never did. Obviously, Bradshaw and Brady are two of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history as Bradshaw won four Super Bowls and Brady won six, so there is some form of a playful rivalry there. The dynamic at Fox will get more interesting in 2024, as Brady will join Bradshaw and Edelman at the network as their lead color commentator.
