The Pittsburgh Steelers have been tested with injuries during the first half of the 2024 NFL season. They've already lost their top two selections in the 2024 NFL Draft as Troy Fautanu is out for at least the regular season and Zach Frazier won't return until after the bye week in Week 9. Pittsburgh has also been without some key defenders, including Nick Herbig, Cory Trice Jr., and Alex Highsmith who just returned in Week 7. Now the Steelers will be without interior defensive lineman Montravius Adams after he suffered an injury against the New York Jets.

After landing on Injured Reserve, Adams will miss at least the next four games for the Steelers. He had just signed a new contract with the team during the 2024 offseason. This was his third contract with Pittsburgh, and the defensive tackle has recorded one sack so far during the 2024 season. The Steelers announced this move along with others on Tuesday.
We have signed CB C.J. Henderson to the Active Roster from the Practice Squad, signed DT Breiden Fehoko to the Practice Squad and placed DT Montravius Adams Sr. on the Reserve/Injured List. @BordasLawhttps://t.co/XS5vK8lHXa

Breiden Fehoko was brought back to the practice squad. He spent time with the Steelers ahead of the 2024 season, but got hurt before the start of the season. The organization released him with an injury settlement, but he is now back on the practice squad with the chance to be elevated to the active roster at some point. This is likely a corresponding move to Adams being placed on Injured Reserve. He spent the 2023 season in Pittsburgh as well, bouncing between the active roster and the practice squad.

Steelers Sign A Cornerback To The Active Roster
Pittsburgh signed former first-round pick CJ Henderson to the active roster on Tuesday. The corner was signed to the practice squad at the end of September. This move happened for a few reasons. Pittsburgh doesn't want him to get stolen off of their practice squad by another team, and the Steelers are desperate for depth at corner. Donte Jackson is playing through a shoulder injury, and he has had to come out of multiple games due to the injury. He isn't expected to miss any time, but having a capable corner behind will allow Jackson to come off the field if he re-aggravates the injury at all.

Henderson has bounced around in his career. He was drafted with the ninth overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2020, and he has since spent time with the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans. Hopefully the corner can revive his career in Pittsburgh.
