Since the inception of Monday Night Football in 1970, one team has reigned supreme: the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have the most wins of any team in the history of the NFL on Monday Night Football, with an absurd 57 wins in 89 games. This unmatched success is a tribute to many things, including absurdly dominant Steelers teams throughout the team's history, and some excellent coaches who have taken advantage of the extra day of prep.

With every game a must-win for the Steelers, who are clinging to a one-game lead in the AFC North over the Baltimore Ravens, it should provide some solace to fans that next week's game against the Miami Dolphins is on a day the Steelers have historically owned.

Perhaps even more impressive than the Steelers' dominance on Monday Night Football is Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin’s dominance. The Steelers have played 24 Monday Night Football games since Tomlin took over as head coach in 2007; they are an incredible 21-3 in those games. The late and great James Bond writer Ian Fleming once said, "Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action." The Steelers have been the NFL's enemies on Monday nights.

While the Steelers go up against a red-hot Dolphins team that is winners of four straight and trying to complete a miraculous playoff push in their own right, the oddsmakers are well aware of the Steelers' Monday Night Football dominance. The Steelers are currently 3.5-point favorites vs the Dolphins, looking to create some separation atop the AFC North.
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Looking To Join Monday Night Success In Pittsburgh
Mason Rudolph did a fine job in his game and a half of action as the Steelers' backup quarterback in Weeks 12-13. Rudolph game-managed his way to a blowout of the Cincinnati Bengals in relief of Aaron Rodgers, who only played the first half due to his wrist injury, and lost a competitive game to a very good Chicago Bears team, 28 to 31. It was very clear in the six quarters of football that Rudolph played that he is only a game-manager, which is fine for a backup quarterback, but not for a long-term option at the position. Of the 174 yards that Rudolph threw for against the Bears, 116 of them were after the catch. The Steelers needed Rodgers to ignite this offense, and did he ever when he returned.

Last Sunday's game against the vaunted Ravens defense, Rodgers had four passes of over 20 air yards alone, which led to an incredible 7-reception 148-yard game for star receiver DK Metcalf. If the Steelers' offense can stay firing as it did against Baltimore, the sky is the limit for this team.
