The Pittsburgh Steelers were the talk of the 2026 offseason as the franchise played the waiting game with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the second offseason in a row. Fans were told that a decision on his future would come soon this time around, but that wasn't really the case as he did not re-sign with the team until right before Organized Team Activities (OTAs) began. He arguably gives the Steelers the best chance to win games now while also possessing the ability to help develop the younger quarterbacks on the roster. Some fans weren't happy to see Rodgers back, but he was always going to be the best option for Pittsburgh.

Rodgers has been in the headlines throughout his entire career, and unless it is directly related to his performance on the field, the news is usually painting him in a bad light. It could be for a variety of things, from how he treats and confronts some of his teammates or his thoughts on some current events going on in the world. He is always making noise, and the general public is always finding a way to focus on the negative when it comes to the quarterback. However, Rodgers is an extremely charitable guy, and that fact barely sees the light of day.
It was announced on Wednesday that Rodgers made a donation to USA Football to support the U.S. Women's National Flag Football Team for the 2028 Olympics.

The exact purpose of his donation is unknown, but his money will be used to help support the team and the players that will be representing the United States in the women's flag football portion of the 2028 Olympics. This has been something that the NFL has been supporting heavily, and now Rodgers has officially made a donation to help the cause.

Rodgers has always seemed to have a love for flag football and getting everyone involved in the sport. He is the co-founder of RX3, and he hosts a charity flag football tournament every offseason. He was seen at the event with Will Howard this year, and he always has some teammates and other guys from around the NFL joining in on the fun.
In 2024 it was reported that this charity flag football tournament helped raise $3 million. His other charitable efforts include the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund. This began during his time with the Green Bay Packers, and he has seemed to be a huge advocate of the fund throughout his career. Whenever he took part in Jeopardy!, it was always tied to the fund, with the winnings often being matched and donated.
The quarterback has also donated money to California, where he went to college. In 2021 he even spent some money to help out small businesses where he grew up in California.

Steelers Fans Need To Learn To Appreciate Aaron Rodgers
Part of Rodgers' time with the Steelers has been frustrating due to the constant waiting and uncertainty about whether or not he would be signing, but the quarterback has finally put pen to paper. He announced it would be his final season, and it needs to be appreciated as he is one of the best to ever line up under center. He is also not the bad guy that a lot of the media wants to paint him as. He is passionate about the game and the things he supports off the field, and that is backed by his charitable donations.
What do you think about this move from Rodgers? Let me know on X, @brogannoey!
