OT Dan Moore Jr. Still Unsure Of Role for 2021

After the Pittsburgh Steelers practice on Tuesday, there was a conversation between a rookie offensive lineman and the team's head coach. That rookie was Dan Moore Jr. who has been putting in a lot of time and effort into trying to become one of the starting tackles for the Steelers. Moore had a conversation with head coach Mike Tomlin and in Moore's words, he was not told whether he would be the team's starting left tackle to start the regular season.

With that being said, this does not mean that Moore will not be the starter during the first week of the regular season, it's just that that decision has not been made yet.

With the first game against the Buffalo Bills being on September 12, the final depth chart should be implemented relatively soon with each player knowing their roles more definitively.

In terms of how Moore feels about his conversation with Coach Tomlin, Moore seemed to be okay with the decision, patiently waiting for his opportunity.

"If coach feels that, then that's what the call will be. I'm ready for whatever comes at me. I've been preparing every day, I'm ready."

There is so many other position battles that are taking place right before the beginning of the season and some would argue that the offensive line is one of the more important ones after new pieces are arriving and old pieces are leaving.

What do you think the offensive line depth chart will look like through the very early weeks of the season? Comment below!
