The Pittsburgh Steelers just released their first injury report for this week. As expected, Zach Banner (Knee), Stefen Wisniewski (Chest), David DeCastro (Knee), and James Conner (Ankle) are all on it and listed as not practicing. Banner will be placed on Injured Reserve as soon as he is undergoing season ending surgery on Friday.

Stephon Tuitt (Achilles) joining the injury list was a big surprise. There is no indication of the severity, so we'll have to monitor to see if he will be back tomorrow.

Also not practicing are wide receivers Diontae Johnson (Toe) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (Knee). Johnson has been listed with a foot injury before, so it looks like it was always a toe and he is probably trying to work trough it. He had the first day of practice off last week as well.

Ben Roethlisberger and Maurkice Pouncey were given veteran days off. Alejandro Villanueva also missed practice with an illness. They should all return soon and be expected to play.

It may seem dire today, but tomorrow will paint a more accurate picture on who is injured for the Steelers as they prepare for their home opener against the Denver Broncos.

Stay tuned.
